Ah right, got it now!

We were doing double shifts at the time and ,quite honestly, none of us had any time to look out of the windows - we couldn't even get near the windows anyway. The departures after the rugby games were always a nightmare in the bar & buffet (none of them used the restaurant, so we just closed it and we used it as an additional seating area for the bar - they weren't interested in food)!
They were awful weekends to work in airport catering, we just hoped and prayed all weekend that nothing went tech and that the coaches all arrived late from the supporter's hotels.
I went to flight catering shortly after that, it was far more civilised (and nearer to Jimmy's steaks and beer in the Flying Club

) and I didn't have to deal with annoying customers that complained that they'd had to wait for more than 3 minutes for their gin & tonic.
