SPOTM December 2022 - the Bell 206 and it's derivatives

Post by andygolfer » Thu Dec 08, 2022 7:21 pm

This is the SPOTM (Special Photo Of The Month) competition for December 2022 the subject is any Bell 206 helicopter or a derivative

This month marks the diamond jubilee of the first flight of the Bell 206 so the subject of your entry should be a photo of one or more civilian registered Bell 206 helicopter2 or a derivative thereof. If it is a former military aircraft it must have a civilian registration at the time the photo was taken.

Photography Competition Rules :-

1. Only one entry per user, unless posting on behalf of another person who is unable to do so themselves (children for example). If this is the case, please state so on your entry..

2. The photo may have been taken on any date, it does not have to be taken in the month of the competition

3. The image can be photo-shopped to some extent, levels changes, cropping, sharpening etc. are all acceptable. The photograph must retain it’s initial subject though, don’t make it something it’s not. HDR images are not acceptable. If you are unsure, please PM a moderator.

4. The competition will remain open until 23.59 (UK time) on the 7th January 2023 - please note the extended closing date to enable anyone with a last minute photo plenty of time to prepare their entry.

5. Voting will be conducted by a poll open to all the membership shortly after the closure of the competition.

6. 'Rule 6...' There's no rule 6, Bruce'

7. The decision of the moderating team is final.

8. All images must be posted in line with the usual CA posting rules (size etc.), please read them if you're not sure how to post.

9. The rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.

10. Please also embed the images and not links to images, if you're not sure how to do it then shout up and someone will sort it out. It is permissible to change your entry before the closing date.

11. Do not comment on other member's photos.

12. A brief description of where and when the image was taken would be nice too.

If you have any questions please PM me

This is only photo I have of a Bell 206, just before it flew us over the Grand Canyon in November 2011. Only the second helicopter I’ve flown on, the other being a Chinook in the early 1990s down in the Falkland Island; never been on one since unfortunately.

here's mine from the Royal Ascot heliport, 20th June 2019, taken from almost exactly the same spot as Porkscratching's entry (I could have posted the same shot as him) during the frantic 2 hours that happens especially on Ladies' day. Hold on to your hats! - one poor passenger caught suffering with the wind and it wasn't due to excess xmas sprouts :D . Amazing how they don't dress appropriately for the mode of transport. I had one that was blown about to the point of indecency but decided that should remain off the internet, she looked most embarrassed.
Oh, and for a title / description, it's G-FEZZ re-styling a lady's hair.
