I called in at Duxford on Friday on my way home from Lakenheath mainly to get some pics of the Avro York which is now outside, I then went into Airspace where further shuffling around has made a few more photographable.

The lovely Avro York First, looking splendid in the sunshine...

and then into Airspace, Concorde G-AXDN is now uncluttered and also has it's nose drooped. I wonder if that was an H&S guided droop as they were dropping down the Mosquito from the ceiling....

and to finish a couple of an aircraft that still seems to arouse controversy and various urban myths, TSR.2 XR222 which I last photographed in May 2006 on the day it was pulled into the hangar, since then it was crammed in between others and impossible to get photos of....

in my view a good but not exceptional aircraft blighted by mismanagement, spiralling costs and struggling to meet an over complex specification spelt the end for it which ever government was at the helm.

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
lots more in my flickr album

Nice set Andy. The York certainly looks good in the sunshine. I was there last Sunday in similar conditions and very pleased with the results. Haven't had time to post but you've probably done a better job :D

I quite enjoy seeing the changes every couple of weeks. As you say first time for many years to get clear photos of some exhibits.

Nice shots of the York outside…

Just a shame that they’ve forced it outside into the elements, where in the first lot of rain, it suffered a major leak, that has damaged it quite badly…
