A couple of 'heavies' at Prestwick,29.01.10

Hi folks, with Andy (AV8 images) as co-pilot, I set off yesterday for the drive down to PIK...and the good old Scottish weather gave us it's 'four seasons in a day' routine ! :D However, the weather gods relented and we arrived to a crisp and bright day.
Our main reason for venturing down was....(those of a nervous disposition, look away now.....) the two C-23s which were in, but as is often the case at Prestwick, a couple of other arrivals made for a more 'rounded' day. :D

Cargolux's 747-4R7F LX-SCV,

in for just over an hour,

and then......my second Dreamlifter.....N249BA,

it certainly ain't pretty :D

but they are a friendly bunch !

Thanks to all the guys at PIK for the usual good company, Alan. :thumb:

Thanks for the comment Rich.

We are fortunate that they 'pitch up' every so often at Prestwick using an Evergreen call sign.

Cheers,Alan. :thumb:

Evening Captain!

That Cargolux shot is very dramatic! Glad we bagged the Dreamlifter, thank goodness for Fuel stops! Really struggling to get my head round how ugly it is still.....

Thanks again for driving yesterday.

See you soon!

Andy

Good photos.

That Dreamlifter makes the Beluga look "Proper Hansome".

Pat
