Re: Getting the Ball Rolling - Duxford VE Day Flying

Lovely set which captures the day well. I thoroughly enjoyed it but my photos are nowhere near as good. I was further to the west to try and beat the sun's angle. Maybe change for the Americans later in the year.

Re: Duxford airliners 27-03-2025

Nice set Andy. The York certainly looks good in the sunshine. I was there last Sunday in similar conditions and very pleased with the results. Haven't had time to post but you've probably done a better job :D I quite enjoy seeing the changes every couple of weeks. As you say first time for many year...

Fabulous captures! That took some swallowing.

Never been but will try to fit in with a Duxford visit.

Lovely light on those Andy - you've done them justice :)

Having joined recently I've been a few times in the last couple of months.

The 146 was in the line until about a month ago. It is registered as G-CMEU so has a civil connection after all.

Duxford Tail-draggers 16th March 2025

Having recently joined as an IWM member I made my fourth visit in as many weeks yesterday. Although dry, the wind was quite chilly and the clouds meant less visitors. However several were in attendance with these four making a "theme": A couple of Austers https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54392764...

Re: Am I here alone?

Hello yes there is someone here. :) Welcome aboard and glad you (finally) made it. Not sure what you are expecting but "footfall" is quite light compared to FC. It is also much more civilised :D I would suggest having a look around the various sections and hopefully find something of interest.

Re: Winter 2024/25 photo of the month competition

Not got out much during the three months (nothing new there  ) but did manage a day at Duxford on 22nd Feb and caught this little gem - Cirrus Vison SF50 N291AH: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54371794054_ef0e2e3ab3_b.jpg N291AH_2 by Nighthawke117 , on Flickr Original posted here: https://...

Cirrus Vison Jet at Duxford 22nd February 2025

Thought I'd posted this so I could included it in the Winter comp but seemingly forgot. To date this is the only one of this type I have seen so to catch it as a Duxford visitor was quite nice to say the least: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54371794054_ef0e2e3ab3_b.jpg N291AH_2 by Nighthawke11...

Duxford visitors 4th March 2025

As a recently new member of IWM I made the most of Tuesday's lovely weather to see what was about. Several visitors including this trio: Bristell NG-5 G-MOGN https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54371807423_2b8fa20ff8_b.jpg G-MOGN_1 by Nighthawke117 , on Flickr Vans RV-7 G-KAOS https://live.staticfli...

Re: Duxford 01/03

Nice varied set. Duxford does get quite a few visitors. Good to see the Fokker outside - it was in the hangar still being assembled when I went last week. Hoping to get back again tomorrow before they revamp AirSpace too much and to get some visitors hopefully.
